The College's award-winning History of Vaccines has published a book, which covers the birth of vaccination in the late 1700s, the influence of bacteriology in the late 1800s, and vaccinology in the 20th and 21st centuries. A small portion of the Mütter Museum is currently closed for construction to prepare the space for the upcoming exhibition, Broken Bodies, Suffering Spirits: Injury, Death, and Healing in Civil War Philadelphia, opening in Fall of 2013. This construction will not affect the main gallery or any of the Museum's primary exhibits.
