Welcome to The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. We are a not for profit medical, educational and cultural institution with the mission of advancing the cause of health while upholding the ideals and heritage of medicine.

In 1787, a group of prominent physicians created a collegiate society so that they could better serve the public. We are not an academic organization, as our name suggests, and everyone is welcome through our doors. Throughout our 232-year history, we have provided a place for medical professionals and the general public to learn about medicine as both a science and as an art.
