From the East, via the Ben Franklin Bridge
( New Jersey ):

1. •Take the Ben Franklin Bridge across the Delaware River , staying in the right hand lane to get on I-676 West .
   

2. •Stay on I-676 West for approximately 1 mile, moving to the farthest right lane. You will see a sign for the Museum Area . Exit soon after at the Ben Franklin Parkway exit.
   

3. •At the top of the exit ramp, all traffic must turn right onto 22nd Street (one-way, northbound).
   

4. •On 22nd Street , go to the first light and make a right onto the Ben Franklin Parkway . Stay in the far right hand lanes. One block later, turn right onto 21st Street (one-way, southbound).
   

5. •Proceed down 21st Street about 8 blocks to Sansom Street (one-way, westbound)
   

6. •Take a right onto Sansom Street and proceed one block to 22nd Street . Turn right on 22nd Street .
   

7. •The College of Physicians is located at 19 South 22nd Street , halfway between Chestnut and Market Streets on the right-hand side. Please see below for directions to parking areas.
   

From the East, via the Walt Whitman Bridge ( South Jersey ):

1. •Take the Atlantic City Expressway East to the end, merging with Route 42 North .
   

2. •Continue on Route 42 North , following the signs to the Walt Whitman Bridge .
   

3. •Merge onto I-76 West via Exit 26 (on the left) toward the Walt Whitman Bridge/Philadelphia .
   

4. •After crossing the bridge, continue on I-76 West until Exit 351 (I-95 North) .
   

5. •Proceed on I-95 N to Exit 22 (I-676 West to Central Philadelphia ) . As you exit, stay in the left-hand lane in order to get on I-676 West .
   

6. •From this point on, follow the directions from I-676 West above.
   

From the West ( Pennsylvania Turnpike, Main Line , Chestnut Hill):

1. •Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 326 ( Valley Forge ) (old Exit 24) onto I-76 East (the Schuylkill Expressway) .
   

2. •Follow I-76 East to Exit 344 (I-676 East/Central Philadelphia ) (old Exit 38) : the expressway splits for this exit; stay in the middle lane in order to get on I-676 East .
   

3. •Immediately after this exit--right after the curve--merge right and take the first (quick) right hand exit, which is the Benjamin Franklin Parkway/23rd Street exit.
   

4. •Go straight down the ramp to the 2nd light, and make a right onto 21st Street (one-way, southbound).
   

5. •Proceed down 21st Street about 8 blocks to Sansom Street (one-way, westbound)
   

6. •Take a right onto Sansom Street and proceed one block to 22nd Street . Turn right on 22nd Street .
   

7. •The College of Physicians is located at 19 South 22nd Street , halfway up 22nd Street on the right-hand side of the street. Please see below for directions to parking areas.
   

From the North, via the New Jersey Turnpike (North Jersey , New York ):

1. •From the New Jersey Turnpike , take Exit 4 to get on Route 73 North . Stay to the right through the toll booth.
   

2. •Take Route 73 North 1 mile to the cloverleaf that connects you with Route 38 West (the exit sign will read "38 West to 41 / Ben Franklin Bridge/Haddonfield" ).
   

3. •Proceed on Route 38 West to Route 30 West . Continue on Route 30 West to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge .
   

4. •Proceed across the bridge, staying in the right-hand lane. Follow signs for I-676 West , which will take you through Center City .
   

5. •From this point on, follow the directions from I-676 West above.
   

From the North, via I-95 ( NE Philadelphia , New York , North Jersey , Bucks County ):

1. •Get on I-95 South . After the Girard Avenue exit (Exit 23) , keep to the right. I-95 will split. Stay in the second lane from the right, following signs for I-95 South/Central Philadelphia .
   

2. •Shortly after, take Exit 22 (I-676 West towards Center City ) . As you exit, stay to the left, following signs for I-676 West .
   

3. •From this point on, follow the directions from I-676 West above.
   

From the South, via I-95 ( Delaware , Maryland ):

1. •Take I-95 North to Exit 22 (I-676 West to Central Philadelphia ) (this exit is on the left).
   

2. •As you exit, stay to the left to get onto I-676 West .
   

3. •From this point on, follow the directions from I-676 West above.
   

Nearby Parking Lots and Garages

1. •There is metered on-street parking on most of the streets surrounding the College building, and several paid parking lots, including one on south 21st street, directly behind the College building.
   

2. •Commerce Square Parking: 22nd and Market Streets
   

3. •All Right Parking Garage: 21st and Chestnut Streets
   

4. •Square Industries Parking Garage: 21st and Sansom Streets
   

Public Transportation

1. •Amtrak commuter and regional trains service 30th Street Station , which is on the western bank of the Schuylkill River and next to the Schuylkill Expressway.
   Leave 30th Street Station and walk along Market Street toward Center City , crossing the bridge over the Schuylkill . At 22nd Street , turn right (so that you are walking against traffic). The College will be halfway down the block, on your left. The walk is 7-10 minutes long.
   

2. •A Green Line (subway-surface trolley) stop is located at 22nd and Market Streets. From the stop, walk down 22nd Street against traffic. The College is halfway down the block, on your left.
   

Eastbound bus routes 21 and 42 stop at 22nd and Chestnut; westbound routes 21, 42, and 12 stop at 22nd and Walnut. For more information on bus, subway-surface, and subway lines, visit the SEPTA website.
